Terms & Conditions
Last updated: September 3, 2026
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern any voice-over project you commission from McCoy Productions ("Jason McCoy Voice-Over," "we," "us," or "our"), whether arranged through https://mccoyproductions.net, by phone, text, email, or a third-party platform like Voices.com. By requesting a script audition or hiring us for a project, you agree to these Terms.
Auditions & Quotes
Submitting a script for a free custom audition does not obligate you to hire us, and it does not obligate us to complete the full project until a rate and scope are agreed upon. Quotes are based on the script, intended use, and usage terms you describe to us; the final rate may change if the scope, length, or usage of the project changes materially after a quote is given.
Scripts We Won't Record
We reserve the right to decline any script, including scripts that contain profanity, horror content, or the vain usage of "God" or "Jesus." We'll let you know as early as possible if a script falls outside what we're willing to record.
Revisions
A reasonable number of pickups or re-reads to match your original direction are included with most projects. Requests that go beyond the original script or direction (new copy, a substantially different read style, etc.) may be treated as a new or additional project and quoted separately.
Delivery & Turnaround
Most projects are delivered within 24–48 hours of an approved script and rate, depending on script length and current workload. Rush turnaround may be available on request. Delivery timelines are estimates, not guarantees, and can be affected by factors outside our control.
Payment
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, invoices are sent after delivery of the finished audio and are payable by credit card, PayPal, or check. Rights to use the final recording transfer to you upon receipt of full payment. Recordings remain our property until payment is received in full.
Usage Rights
Unless a broader or narrower license is agreed to in writing (for example, in a quote or invoice), a completed recording is licensed for the specific use, media, and term you described when requesting the project. Using a recording for a substantially different purpose, medium, or duration than originally agreed — or sublicensing it to a third party — requires our advance written consent and may require an additional usage fee.
Cancellations
If you cancel a project after a script has been recorded but before final delivery or payment, we may bill for work already completed. If you cancel before recording begins, no charge applies unless significant time was already spent on direction, scheduling, or script preparation specific to your project.
Limitation of Liability
We aren't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of a delivered recording, or from delays outside our reasonable control. Our total liability for any project is limited to the amount you paid for that project.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date; they apply to projects commissioned after the change, not retroactively.
